Located in downtown Palm Springs, El Mirasol was voted the Best Mexican food in the desert by readers of Palm Springs Life, a popular place frequented by many locals and tourists alike. The chips and salsa are the best in town and the margarita’s are not to be missed. For those a little more daring, try one of the specialties of the house which include Shrimp and Pollo en Pipian, a dish from Central Mexico’s pre – Columbian period with a sauce made with ground pumpkin seeds and chiles; Carne Adobada, a broiled and marinated pork steak and Pollo en Mole Poblano Mexico's National Dish made of chicken with chiles, cocoa and pumpkin seeds.
